This year’s Rare Plant Fair held at the lovely Rustenberg Wines estate proved, once again, to be a very enjoyable day out. Even you aren’t blessed with the green thumb the fair holds plenty of interest, if only to have a look at plants you may not have encountered before. Keep a look out for plans for the 2014 fair. Among the plants on display and on offer were a dazzling selection of orchids. The colours and patterns and shapes of these plants are wild and fascinating.
